I write simple software to solve complex problems.

At work, you'll find me writing scripts and programs to integrate aerospace-aware sensors with situational awareness interfaces. At home, you'll find me writing control logic for medical-grade pumps in an attempt to make the perfect mixed drink.
2021 - Present

Senior Software Engineer - AX Enterprize

Senior engineer on SAFIRE/CLUE, a real-time airspace-awareness platform integrating aerospace sensors for DoD and commercial UAS markets. Designed and implemented core backend services in Go: authentication and SSO, the track storage and replay pipeline, and hot/cold data archival. Also wrote the engineering tooling in Go and Python: a high-performance packet fan-out router for sensor feeds, UTM and kinematic track simulators for testing, and an offline terrain and imagery generation engine for air-gapped deployments.

I hate printers, but I'm here to help.

I pride myself on unblocking users and developers with secure and sustainable yet flexible solutions. I've been deep in the world of compliance, and I don't shy away from scripting and automation. Routers and firewalls don't scare me. It's the weekend rum and an exercise routine that keeps the stress at bay for me.

I dabbled in the botnet scene when I was young and foolish. Now I wear a blue team hat.

The need for security is pervasive in the modern digital landscape. I'm here to offer secure solutions that minimize risk but also don't stand in the way of progress or productivity. I've survived a few attacks and always come out the other side basically unharmed... Some nights, it can be hard to sleep while the enemy knocks at the door.

DevSecOps Engineer - AX Enterprize

Owned the security posture of the product line and the internal development pipeline. Maintained a secure software CI/CD pipeline with scanning integrated throughout, triaging and remediating findings from Nessus, Snyk, OSCAP, and other tools across source, containers, and deployed systems. Designed the authentication and identity model, and led CMMC and DFARS compliance, including STIG-hardened deployments and the POA&M/ATO documentation behind fielded systems.
